Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation
Rescuing neglected and surrendered animals across Nebraska
Hooves of Hope started with a simple belief: no animal should suffer alone, and no animal is beyond help.
Founded by a small group of dedicated animal advocates in Kearney, Nebraska, we began with a single rescued horse and a borrowed pasture. Today, we operate by providing sanctuary and rehabilitation for horses, donkeys, mules, and goats who have nowhere else to go.
Every animal we rescue comes from circumstances of neglect, abuse, or surrender. They arrive malnourished, injured, and traumatized. Some have never known kindness. Others are elderly or medically fragile. We take them all.
What started as one person's mission has grown into a community-powered rescue. We're fueled entirely by volunteers and sustained by donors who believe these animals deserve dignity, safety, and the chance to heal—no matter how long it takes.
Every decision is guided by what serves the animal best—not convenience, cost, or convention. We see each animal as an individual worthy of patience, care, and respect.
We never euthanize for space or convenience. Animals who can't be adopted stay with us for life. We're their final safety net—a promise we take seriously.
Rescue isn't a solo act. We collaborate with veterinarians, law enforcement, other rescues, and everyday people who see suffering and refuse to look away.
We teach responsible ownership, speak up for stronger animal welfare laws, and help people recognize and report neglect before it becomes life-threatening.
We don't give up on animals others deem "too far gone." With time, medical care, and trust-building, we've seen countless transformations that prove resilience is possible.
We operate openly. Donors see where money goes. Volunteers know our challenges. We admit mistakes and learn from them. Trust is earned through honesty.
We specialize in equines and livestock—animals that often fall through the cracks of traditional rescue systems
From neglected to elderly, we provide lifetime care and rehabilitation
Smart, stubborn, and incredibly resilient—we love their personalities
Often overlooked but incredibly intelligent—they deserve rescue too
Playful companions who bring joy and help with brush clearing
We're a team of animal advocates, volunteers, and community members united by a shared belief: every animal deserves dignity, safety, and the chance to heal.
Our work is powered entirely by volunteers—from the people who feed animals at dawn to the supporters who share our posts, donate supplies, and spread awareness. We have no paid staff. Every dollar goes directly to animal care.
What we share in common isn't credentials or experience—it's commitment. Some of us came knowing nothing about horses. We learned. What matters is showing up, staying consistent, and refusing to give up when an animal needs us.
